I'm sure there are many reasons people have for watching True Blood...and for not watching. One reason for my watching True Blood is, I like to start new shows when they look interesting. Now we will see if it keeps my attention...thats the real test. So far I am going to keep watching.
The opening credit sequence Talk about setting the mood! Cable shows always have great credit sequences, and True Blood has one of the best. Like something out of Natural Born Killers, True Blood starts with grainy footage of burlesque dancers, decaying foxes, civil rights scenes, swampland, and baptisms--all to the tune of Jace Everett's wicked "Bad Things."
I never watch a series because of the opening credits...I need more than that. This article gives reasons for watching or not watching True Blood, but not all of them are why I would watch a show. I watch a show with good content and if it entertains me.
The second show of True Blood came out, and it looks like there will be a second season. I enjoyed the show, except for the fake accents and it was a little predictable. The show starts off where the first one ended...with Sookie getting her butt kicked. I did wonder who would save her...Bill or Sam.
Then we see Jason in the police station...I really didn't think that Jason killed that girl, but I have a feeling that more girls that he has sex with will end up dead. I like the new Tara much better than the other girl they had. Boy does Tara like Jason...she wants him, bad.
I loved the part where Sookie wanted Bill to try and glamor her and he couldn't...that was very predictable. I knew she was faking it, but I still laughed. What about that ending...sort of scary...what will happen next?
What do you think about the second show of True Blood?
True Blood has had a viral marketing campaign for a little while now. I knew about True Blood before they started their campaign, so I didn't even think about people not knowing that the ads were not real.
I thought it was real and told some goth/vamp friends to check it out.
So how many people do you think thought that the tru blood drink was real. Although, I could see them making up a new tru blood drink that taste like cherry or strawberry or something...which might be kind of cool.
True Blood is around the corner...looking foward to see if it will be a hit or not.
Summer may be winding down soon, but cable will keep the programming heat on with original scripted fare well into the fall.
We're more than half way through August and the fall season starts...woohoo. I'm looking forward to all the new and old season shows. I will give all the new shows at least 3 times before I decide if I will keep watching or not. I've already given True Blood one showing already...so far I am undecided on whether I will keep watching...2 to go.
While i was watching the first episode of True Blood, the sex scene with Jason and the girl came on and it surprised me. I had forgotten that this show was on HBO. Up until the video that the girl showed it was fine...normal, but whoa, that vampire was a little to much for my taste.
I wonder if the vampire, even through the tv, made Jason do something out of the ordinary...like killing the girl. He looked bothered by what was going on, but also turned on...but that could be because of what she was doing to him.
